MaxiDAS DS708 PC Suite will not update

     I recently upgraded my SD card and all went well. However, now my PC Suite says I have a needed update to V6.31. It downloaded but will not install. I get the error message: Create folder C:\Program Files(x86)\MaxiDas708\"my actual login"\DS027Q012254\download\PC Suite", lag201304221103300175":"PC?",lag201305051504580071":"PC Suite failed.

    My PC is running Win8.1 and I have given the update program permission to cross my firewalls in my antivirus and in windows firewall. I have even tried disabling them both and trying to update and get the same response. I have uninstalled the PC Suite and reinstalled it as well with no luck. The files do say everything is registered so that is not the problem and I can get updates directly on the scanner.

    Any ideas would be wonderful!

     Same here and customer service is practically non existent. Constant update problems since I have the tester.

     Remove the previous pc suite login to your autel account and download the 6.31 pc suite and try to install. If it will not install try to install using compatibility mode set to win7. More then likely it is not fully compatible with win8.1 .

     Thank you, yes, pls uninstall the PC Suit and download V6.31 directly from our website.

    This is the solution.
     
    Create a folder at the next addres:
     
     C:\Program Files(x86)\MaxiDas708\"my actual login"\DS027Q012254\download\PC Suite. 

    Then rename it:

     lag201304221103300175

    and finally do the update.

        Oh....my....GOD this is irritating. I just bought a MD802 - its 2016 - it has V1/V2 software, this should be V6....why are these not updated when you receive them?

    I cannot for the life of me update it...failed, failed, failed. Ive done what was asked above.
    - deleted the PC Suit and downloaded it straight from http://support.autel.com/support/solutions/folders/8000079030,
    its updated to V6.34 now and wont let me update the V6 car program updates
    - added it to my anti-virus and also firewall to no avail!
    - changed the compatibility to Win7 (Im using 8.1). Failed, failed, failed again.
    - downloading one at a time, they download but wont install.
    - tried adding the above lag file but yep you guessed it, made no difference. Dont even know if that would work with my model, being an 802. Couldnt find anything across the internet about a lag file for the 802 model. Why would I even have to add a 'lag' file, that should be part of the update....

    2hrs of buggering around and have gotten nowhere. I have an 8GB SD card so its not space. Its really testing my patients...I know Im not the only one because nearly 3000 people have visited this page so far, the update system is not very user-friendly.
